About Us



Gospel Light Baptist Church is an independent Baptist Church located in Mechanicsville, Maryland. Our Church is easily accessible from anywhere in the Southern Maryland area. The Church facilities are located on a 10-acre campus with three other buildings already in future plans. The last building on this property is to be a 2,000 seat auditorium. You are welcome to come and grow with us!
Gospel Light Baptist Church is a completely autonomous congregation. We are self-governing and self-supporting. We are affiliated with no denominational headquarters. The head of this Church is the Lord Jesus Christ, Himself. The King James Bible is our sole authority for faith and practice. We believe it to be the Preserved Word of God for the English speaking people.
At Gospel Light Baptist Church we have one message - the message that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came and died, shedding His precious blood on Calvary's cross for our sins and was buried, and rose from the grave after three days to live forever as our God and King. 1 Corinthians 15:1-11
